Dubai Health Authority interviewed 216 physicians for Residency Training Program

The Medical Education Department of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) interviewed 216 doctors for the Dubai Residency Training program.
The interviews took place in presence of more than 70 consultants and senior specialists who were the examiners. The aim of this program is to train doctors in different specialties and prepare them for possible future jobs at the DHA.
“The interviews were conducted in accordance with an advanced system that is clear and transparent, and based on the best international standards and practices applied in residency programs to assess the capabilities of doctors and their proficiency,” said Dr. Jamila Al Sheikh, Director of Medical Education Department at the DHA.
Eight different doctors interview every candidate to ensure fairness and the department will select 80 doctors for the Dubai Residency Training program, which will begin during the month of October 2016.
Dr. Sheikh highlighted the importance of the Residency Training Program and its active role in attracting medical competencies that will further enhance healthcare in Dubai and contribute to making the emirate a favored destination for treatment through the provision of specialized medical services in Dubai.
