Medical Education and Research
The Department of Medical Education (MED) is responsible for provision of medical education, research and
continuing professional development of healthcare experts in the United Arab Emirates. The Academic Affairs
Centre (AAC) under the governance of MED established the Dubai Residency Training Program (DRTP) in 2006.
DRTP is a structured postgraduate Educational Training Program whose vision is to bridge the gap between Medical
undergraduate qualification and specialized medical professions.
The program offers a customized learning platform where the residents are trained and constantly evaluated for
consistent improvement. Furthermore, the residents are encouraged to consistently advance in handling
responsibilities and independent practice commensurate to their individual level of knowledge and aptitude under
the guidance of highly qualified and experienced mentors.

downloadThe DSREC facilitate the maintenance of ethical standards during the conduct of research. They also facilitate the understanding of the principle of scientific research including research design, analysis, and methodology.
Who can apply?
All medical and non- medical professionals from the emirate of Dubai who wish to conduct research in the DHA and health facilities under the jurisdiction of DHA.
Submission Procedure
Submit two sets (one original and one copy) of all the following documents (Appropriately filed) and soft copy (CD/Email to DSREC@dha.gov.ae ) to the research office located in Rashid Medical library:
Covering letter on headed paper (Addressed by Principal Investigator to Dubai Scientific research Ethics Committee)

If there is more than one DHA sites involved in the study, PI have to obtain HOD signature from each study site.
